1st day of Ramadhan

salam again....
today we woke up at 3am...solat skit2 and then turun bawah for our sahur... kalau tak lalu makan pon..make sure u wake up for sahur...a glass of water is good enough...for the pahala..subuh masuk 4am...
and now is 9.30am....insyallah buka nanti 7.56pm...
our salam perantauan kelua on 1st day ramadhan.....heheheh..... page 4 utuan online
unlike last year...1st day buka puasa is at our place..and prior year still at the same place but tuan rumah lain (ida sham)..and this year...buka kat ida sham's clyde walk house in armley....also sempena farewell utk bad & faizah fam yg nak balik msia sabtu nih (6th sept).
food..as usual potluck laa....we had lasagne, roast chicken, seafood spag, nasi grg cina, salad, sagoo gula melaka, laksa

Rhyl carboot & Bangor

booked this long long long time ago....travelodge in Bangor...didnt know nisya will be coming to UK masa tuh...only nana...
on the way to Bangor, our 1st destination is carboot in Rhyl A525 which is situated exactly in front of Sainsbury Rhyl (address: Rhuddlan Road, Rhuddlan, RHYL, Denbighshire, LL18 2TP ...so senang sesaper nak gi carboot ryhl nih). both nisya & nana shopping sakan!.. myself included....heheh...xde laa sgt....just the excitement carbooting.
after an hour & the half...we continue our journey to bangor..view along the way was sooo beautiful..mesmerizing ..arrived too early at travelodge...so instead we just jalan2.
after passing by Britannia bridge, we head to place whose name is famous for being a longest welsh name (for a place laa)...it is none other than Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
or it's short form Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, situated on the Menai Strait next to the Britannia Bridge and across the strait from Bangor, a village and community on the island of Anglesey in Wales.
The long form of the name is the longest officially recognised place name in the United Kingdom and one of the longest in the world, being 58 letters in length (51 letters in the Welsh alphabet, where "ch" and "ll" count as single letters). The name is Welsh for "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave".
This village was originally known as Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll (and is sometimes still referred to as Llanfairpwllgwyngyll) and was given its long name in the 19th century in an attempt to develop the village as a commercial and tourist centre (see Significance of the name below). Today the village is still signposted as Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, marked on Ordnance Survey maps as Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll and is known to locals as Llanfairpwll or simply Llanfair.

we then head to the train station and also the travel information centre...for pics purposes laaa....hehehe...and then track back passing britinnia bridge to go to tesco...to buy some food for tonight's dinner.....chk-in at travelodge at 3pm....had our lunch... rest kejap and out again...
next destination is university of wales, bangor....tak sangka sini pon ada univ...plus ada malaysian lak tu...but xde lak terserempak with one...next is Gwynedd, Menai bridge... konon2 nak tangkap ketam....no time.....
next is Beaumaris....seaside...very nice place....but bit cold despite summer!..we had to cut the visit short...tak sempat gi castle pon due to rain.
and for dinner...we had msk lemak kuning smoked mackerel (minus cili api), & udang goreng...yummyyyyy....

....nisya arrived by noon.....i asked nana to go to leeds bus station by bus...hehe.. malas nak gi leeds bradford airport......naik bus pon murah 2.50 pound je.
round town for awhile...and brought them home......nasi ayam awaits them.....suka laa hati diaorg...heheheh....
