THE PAIN...
this week marks the 19 wks of my pregnancy...
i got this from internet
By 19 weeks pregnant your uterus should now be just below your belly button. You may notice that your lower abdomen is somewhat achy due to its increased size and pulling on the round ligaments. Round ligament pain (MUST READ) is a very common discomfort at 19 weeks of pregnancy.
& i hope i can safely say that the pain that i felt last Sat is this pain...
insyallah this wed (18/2/09) i have an appointment with the midwife...i hope i can remember to ask her bout this matter...

the kick....at 18 weeks!

alhmd when i woke up this morning....after solat subuh....i lie down again... i felt a slight movement / twitching in the tummy... so i place my palm on it...then suddenly i felt a kick... xde laa kuat sgt2...but somehow...i know it's a kick.... alhmd...legaaaa.....
i was so afraid since yesterday's cramp.....
i told darling hubby bout it....and so he placed his hand on my tummy...once again the baby kicked....unfortunately kamarul couldnt feel it.... takpe laa...next mth..insyallah he could feel the baby.....

many people celeb the V day....i thot it was a special day last time....but after knowing the history & story behind it...i stop regarding it as a special day...konon nyer meant for lovers...citttt.... on the logic side of it...how could it be a special day for lovers when firstly it's the death of someone known as Valentine (later jadik Saint laa pulak) and 2ndly dia yg sent love note...apsal lak kita yg nak celeb.. lantak dia laa....konon nyer symbol of love.... still not logic to me....
for today's date...actually nak citer bout the sengal2 that i felt at my lower abdomen... not an intense pain ...not so sure if it's a cramp ..
at first i wanted to go to usrah with kamarul at green room...but since i'm not feeling well..plus danial was having a slight fever...we just rest at home.... when i lie flat...alhmd i couldnt feel the slight pain...but kalo berdiri lama skit...then the sengal2 will come back.... and so...the rest of the day...i just lie down je.....

the first ever donut - gebu & fluffy

alhmd.. i make such a wonderful & fluffy donut.....
resepi nih i got from kak midah...wife ustaz daud.....
bahan2:-
500g plain flour
1 pkt yeast
a pintch / bit of salt
100g castor sugar
1 tbs butter
1 egg
1/4 pint water (can either be hot boiling or luke warm water....see note in no. 2) *
1/4 pint fresh milk
some oil in a bowl
oil to fry the donut
cara:-
1. mix all together - flour, yeast, salt, sugar & butter in a big bowl
2. in a diff container or jug...mix water & milk * (note: i used hot boiling water coz the milk is cold -from the fridge.......if the milk is warm....then use air masak suam/luke warm)
3. beat the egg together with water & milk
4. pour the mixture of egg+water+milk in the bowl
5. u can either use a spoon or ur hand (but it will be messy) to mix them together
6. it will look goey....just add 1 tbs of flour...& NO MORE.....biar je dia goey
7. at this stage...if u have a breadmaker...guna je laa instead of using d spoon or ur hand to knit the dough
8. pour some flour on a tray (so that the raw donut wont stick to it) & at d same time...boil some water
9. now...pour some oil on ur palm....& take some dough & make into a small ball as big as golf ball ....* note: oil=so that the dough wont stick to ur hand
10. flatten the ball ...and make a big hole at the centre ..so that it looks like a donut....MAKE sure the hole is as big as 50 cent coin....hole kena besar
11. arrange the raw donut on the tray...at least the distance of 2 fingers from each raw donut
12. the boiling water as in no. 8....pour into a large bowl or pot.....and place the tray (fillerd with raw donut) on the bowl/pot
13. leave it for 1/2 hour or 45 minutes for the raw donut to raise up......it will be very2 gebu & kembung.....
14. heat some oil in d kuali ......& gently take raw donut which is already gebu and fry it straight away in a low heat kuali
15. once the donut is light brown...take it our & place the donut on a paper towel / blotter...to absorb the excess oil
16. coat the donut with castor sugar or chocolate syrup (as u please )
17. serve it in a nice plate....

18 weeks pregnancy

alhamdulillah..according to my pregnancy calender....today, the baby in tummy is 18 weeks old.
a mother would be able to feel the baby's movement or kicking..as early as 15 or 16 weeks... and myself...i think....i think laaa....i felt the movement last wk....when the baby is 17 wks +... it felt mcm ada something kuit2 inside....
i mayb be mistaken for the movement of my twitching veins.... but the twitching is at the lower abdomen.... & so...it could be or shall i say it should be 'it'...
and today...when i lie down....flat.... i felt the twitching.... so...it is 'it'.... boy or girl? hanya Allah yg tahu.....

weekend story & no more tears....

we went to leicester ...at a place called hinckley to collect the royal albert moonlight rose tea set & dinner plates...cost us 100+ pound...
started our journey around 9.30am....& few stops kat motorway services.... and we finally reached the lady's place around 12.30 noon....she was kind to offer tea/coffee... but since we're rushing back....we excuse ourselves 15 minutes later.
we then went to leicester univ....sempat laa few snaps here and there... next stop should be the clock tower....*malas nak citer part nih*.... we then continue to find our lunch.... cant recall d name of d area...but the shop we went is called Maomed Halal Fish 'N Chips.. address: 38 Cecil Road, Leicester, Leicestershire LE2 0AD. it is situated opposite Usman Mosque kalo x silap laa... since we couldnt find parking near there, i went out & buy the food & later we eat in d car.
the Usman mosque (paki) doesnt cater for ladies....& so we had to go to another mosque at Oxendon St....the full address is Masjid Ar-Rahman 71 Guthlaxton Road LE2 OSF, Leicester.
since dah nak malam...we decided to continue our journey home....but took a break at rumah zu tarik...alhamdulillah we had wonderful hot tomyam, sambal belacan & fried mackerel. we stayed till 8.30pm...and then balik.... alhamdulillah we arrived home b4 9.30pm.....
on sunday....i had usrah wanita MSCL at azlin's house in kirkstall....
nursery-stories:-
-yesterday...prior leaving the house...danial cried.... i think he knows that i will leave him soon after we arrvied the school... alhamdulillah he stops crying in the car as soon as we reach the school. i brought him in... alhamdulillah... he remembers the giraffe...hang his cap & jacket.. and went in straight to his blue group & took his name card...and gave it to one of the teachers. the 1st activity was to watch 'chinese new year'.... after several attempts to cabut...i finally succeed 15 minutes later...
after solat zohor...we went to leeds general infirmary (LGI) to visit jehan & nazirah (abg norman & kak firdaus's daughter who recently had Appendicitis operation) . kak ina came along. and at 2.15pm...went to the nursery to fetch danial... mrs wilku said danial was good..he didnt cry after i left him earlier that afternoon.
-today pon steady je.... alhamdulillah no drama at all. put on his jacket & cap....went to the nursery... find his giraffe ..blaaa blaaa.... & after several attempts...i succeed...again!... hehehe..
at 2.25pm i got a call from the nursery asking me to fetch danial...as he was asleep. i didnt go as tgh cook lunch....a simple lunch - cabbage msk lemak putih, sambal belacan, fried salted fish & some 'baby fish' for danial.
around 4pm we went to zainal & kak aja's house....kak aja is kak ta (anak ayah sa) 's bestfriend. and after solat maghrib we went to asda....

mummy's tears

|
today is another beautiful day.....snow continues to fall down....not as heavy as b4 ...just nice & i think just the right amount..... it covers yesterday's icy road....
around noon....actually quater past noon.. we sent danial to d nursery.... kamarul left after both of us went in. alhamdulillah danial was ok...he remembers his 'giraffe'... put his cap & jacket at the giraffe hanging place and later went in to his blue group & took his giraffe namecard and gave to mrs munroe.
he then played around blue group....
suddenly...he pulled my hand... hhhmmm.... i said my leg is in pain...so i need to sit down.. he kept pulling.... then muka start cebik2.... he pointed at the entrance door. i just past by the door and went to another table while danial started crying....
we then sit near the yellow corner...where 2 black boys came & sit next to us....and even asking danial not to cry....but being him...he continues.....nearly 10 minutes....
then mrs munroe & sharon told me to go off....and to come back at 1.30pm...they will take good care of danial.... just nak biasa kan danial with not having me around....
i left the nursery....knowing my son was crying hysterically ....crying for me....
kamarul picked me up...& we arrived home at 12.45pm....said our zohor prayer... unfortunately i couldnt stop the sad feeling inside me..... kept thinking of danial.... i even cried during my prayer.
hhhmm...i need to be strong.....didnt mean to harm him..but to toughen him up...
in order to ease the sadness from my mind.... i cooked nasi grg belacan for our lunch.... i've given danial his lunch....rice, egg & green bean fried with squid.
at 1.30pm...we hurried to the nursery....
from outside...i didnt hear him crying...unlike yesterday.... from one glass door i saw danial playing with some friends.... he looks ok....no more crying... & so i knocked the door... sharon came out....she said danial is ok....he stoped crying 20 minutes ago.... & so i asked if he can stay a bit longer....
unfortunately they decided danial should go home...just not to upset him...
danial didnt see me when i entered the room...he was running with few friends...& went to the toilet...when he finally saw me...he came & hug me & sit on my leg.... sian lak....
terus he pulled my hand to the entrance door...indicating that he cant wait to leave the place...... in the car....he got his warm milk..happy laa dia....
