kamarul, danial & jijah went to leeds grand mosque.....myself & harris didnt go...as harris is not well.....slight fever & coughing.....

3 1/2 years already......

on 26 may 2006...we left malaysia for leeds...with 1 aim...(more for kamarul rather than myself)... that is to pursue his PhD..... he was accepted by the Univ of Leeds to fulfil his dream of obtaining the scroll.... right from day 1 when we landed at leeds bradford airport... di jemput oleh tarik & sunyo in mat umno's van....along with several big bags & 2 boxes....
it was so unfortunate for us that the landlord of the house that we are supposed to live in had suddenly increase the rental from £250 to £400....2 days prior of our arrival. nih laaa the 1st ever dugaan for us.....next dugaan is that we had to tebalkan muka to stay with tarik & family ...thinking that only few days....but it ended up nearly 2 mths....only Allah knows how it felt... they are nice... but...surely one prefers to stay in own home...& one prefers to stay only with his/her nucleus family.....next dugaan is...while searching high & low for a house...kena tipu lak dgn landlord paki who had promised us his house.....from 2 weeks to 3 weeks to a month...hence.. that explains why we had to stay for a long long longggg time at tarik & zu's place.... kesian kat diaorg had tu put up with us.....
actually....kak midah did offer her daughter, shidah's house near cross green....but several people nasihat kata tak payah..reason:takde melayu situ..susah nak beli halal food..public transport jauh skit.....what really pissed me off was that...these people who some sort gave advice.. later turned back and Q us on why we didnt accept kak midah's offer.....
kamarul usaha.....even myself pon usaha carik rumah...just that not our luck....one unipol house...siap berkulat lagik...even though baru 1 mth je vacated....plus the toilet is on the top floor...mati laaaa kalo nak kencing berak.....hehehhe...not for uis adult...for danial & other little kids....
syukurrr....finally....end of july....1 malaysian couple...pok ku & suria who stayed in a house on top of shop lot...nak balik msia....so kira jadik laa amik the house.....on 4th august 2006...we moved in to the 77 back harehills road house,....which is situated on a racquet sport shop...& opposite of noshi grocery shop.....we get to know our neighbour idam & najib & their son...
another dugaan right after we moved in ...i had a miscarriage....6 weeks....had to do a D&C ...if i'm not mistaken...it was done on 7th sept...just 2 days after my sweet 17 birthday...hehhe.. perasan!
yg sempat dtg to this house are kak ya & abg sany...& also mak ya & nabila.
ida sham bought a house.....& so syukur....kitaorg lak masuk their house....& so...here we are in 19 luxor avenue house....
along the way.....kamarul's supervisor had been promoted as head of dept in university of lancaster....so...another dugaan...to follow or not to follow......mind u...he is one of the four students that the prof really wants for them to tag along to lancaster......kamarul decided to follow...after thinking of the pros & cons..... alhamdulillah...we continue to stay in leeds as houses in lancaster is far more expensive & susah nak carik halal food....
nana was the 1st one to come...march 2007...followed by...jijah who came in july...followed by my parents in end of oct 2007...
next is hanif & gf......then Amat (anak maklong) in feb 2008... followed by kamarul's parents in august 2008..& nisya...few days later..ajo (anak makjah) came in dec 2008..kalo x silap...
2009....ramai giller yg dtg....since it's our final year....starting with nana (obviously ..coz she's nearby in dublin) ...makjah & ajo & kamil...then 4 four sisters....followed by dibah (anak makjah)... and then mummy again & kamil....during harris birth....
other than that....biasa laa the ups & downs in life & marriage......
danial finally went to the nursery at the end of Jan 2008.
one of the sweet momento here is that i gave birth to harris on 15 july 2009.....
jijah is back in leeds.....to help us with kemas...thanks a lot sis!
11 nov 2009...kamarul got his long awaited dream...his doctorate.....yes..my man is a doctor now... even though not a medical doctor....he is still my doctor....
byk nyer nak citer......
kamarul is not here today....went to london to get the dining set.....went with zainal... now is 2.15pm....still on the road...belom arrive the intended destination....
moga2 selamat.....
danial in school...
jijah & harris sleeping downstairs.....
me..in the bedroom typing my memoir......
nak balik msia bila?...ntah laa.....
only Allah knows.......

congratulation DR. NOORDIN
|

another entry for today.....
now is 12 noon...
just now at 11.45am.....the awaited call finally ringing.....
managed to caught it on camera....
alhamdulillah...syukur sgt2 kpd Allah..... my darling hubby is now DR. KAMARUL ARIFFIN NOORDIN....tq so much Allah....
alhamdulillah...all his effort..... dgn izin Allah...berjaya he got his PhD....
he told me...his supervisor did help him whenever he cant answer....but almost the Qs by the examiner he could answer....
and the last word from the examiner was that "u did well..congratulation Dr. Noordin"....
alhamdulillah... officially KA had been conferred Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from the Univ of Lancaster....
my darling dear...congratsss......

after the heart pumping called received...i called my mom...to deliver the news....
"alhamdulillah"....that's what comes out from her mouth too...
tq so much to all of u in melaka or kl..or dubai...yg mendoakan....
knowing my mummy...news will travel far...within split second!
at 5.30pm..we went to pick KA up kat leeds train station....
only in the car...he learnt that his danial was having a fever.... 'demam rindu'..as my dad put it.. hehehe....
KA then told us what had happened....full complete story.... myself sitting behind him...syukur sgt2.... wish i could hug him kuat2.... extremely proud of my man!
he too said that his phone...never stops ringing....& it goes the same with the text received...
from each & everyone of my siblings...& both parents too....from his side...message never get across kot....takpe lah...the most important thing is that...he heard his mom's voice... she told that his dad even puasa for him...... alhamdulillah....
we had chicken rice for dinner....
wanted to go out...but danial still had some temperature....harris too...but just a mild one...
anyway, my facebook is full with congratulation wishes.... i changed several times the 'wall post'... but the sweetest thing was that...i was being congatulated too...for being the back bone...the spinal cord....hehehhe..... tersengih2 mcm kerang busuk...when people acknowledging my little part in his life....
tq friends.....to so much for all kind well wishes...& ur doa in particular.... alhamdulillah...ramai yg mendoakan....my man was able to taste the sweet success in his phd...
well done DR KAMARUL ARIFFIN.....
every single efforts & sacrifices were paid off....
what more could i ask for.....
i love u so much....
not just me...but our fruit of love too...danial & harris
& not forgetting jijah...for the help!....tq so much sis...

the finally arrive....
since yesterday he's been gone....
preparing for the 'D' Day....
today....
the fate of the 3 1/2 yrs work will be determined.... within the 2 1/2 hours....
last nite....darling dear informed me that prof G (his supervisor) called him up.. to inform that the 2 examiner (internal & external) had informed him that to concentrate more of chapter 4,5,6 rather than the earlier chapter... plus...only 15 mins of presentation & thereafter they will ask bout his work... overall thesis looks good...
now is 9.20am....
around 8.30am just now...KA called...
tq to azmi & wife for the lovely nasi lemak breakfast....
last nite....b4 sleeping...danial asked for his daddy... "where's daddy?"...i said...daddy goes to school...& asked danial to doa ..for Allah to make it easy for daddy.
harris woke up twice...feeding....
around 5am danial woke up...b4 that mcm mengigau.... he cried...he said he wants bun...then i said...why not milk...he said ok...but still continue to cry...so i went to him... Ya Allah...ada slight temperature.
